Default Sizing of lettering

Hi,

I am not too sure how to ask this question!! I have had a request for some hi-visi t-shirts from a customer. I am having trouble with the lettering. The top line is to say JH GROUNDWORKS with & in the middle and PLANT HIRE on the bottom. My problem - how do I size the letters??

If I make the letters the same size obviously the top line is going to be wider. If I make them the same width, the letters are different sizes??

Please help - have spent hours trying to decide which looks right.

Many thanks

Are you using a vinyl cutter or heat press lettering? This will help in answering the question. .... JB

Because of the wording needed i would just make all the letters the same size. There is too much difference in the top and bottom line.

If they would change to

JH GROUNDWORKS
AND PLANT HIRE

it would look more even and stretching the bottom line to match the top would only make a small difference.

I would try to make the three lines of text centered, so it would look like this. I would make all text 11/2 inches and would squeeze the top line together to make it fit.

JH GROUNDWORKS
&
PLANT HIRE

Hopefully this helps......JB

Hi,

Many thanks- makes sense when you think about it!! Had probably spent too long looking at it.
