Need to Register?

Hello,
I just purchased an epson 1400 and I want to purchase sublimation inks. 2 questions:

1) should I buy just the ink cartridges since I am new to sublimation?

2) Should I buy the sublimation ink systems (which cost $$$) to hopefully save $$$?

Stay away from cartridges. Your cost per page will be very high.

I too would recommend not buying cartridges. The Easy Flow system is good compared to other systems. Do you have sublimation ink already? Remember to set the printer to thick stock from the "Printer and Option" menu.

Hi David,
Thanks for the reply. I am actually struggling with the printer. It came with a CIS system in place but its not printing all the colors. Can the tubes get clogged? and if so, how do you fix that problem? I bought the epson used only 5 months now I am thinking I should have bought new? any suggestions.

Which color? Is the CIS the Easy Flow system?
Does the color sometimes work?
