Smile Continous Ink Supply System (CISS)

Where is the best place to find a CISS (continous ink supply system) for an Epson printer? I know that I could probably find it on eBay but I wanted to know if there are any wholesale distributors out there where I can get the CISS and additional ink supplies.

Thanks!

Think silkscreeningsupplies.com has them. Also coastalbusiness.com.

Thanks TeddyRocky. I will look them both up. I just want to compare there versus eBay. No one wants to pay too much, right!!

in my opinion ebay or other online store selling CISS are almost the same thing, only differ is the ink you used. I got CISS from ebay until now still working and my brother owned a store that doing CISS printer refill or system set up and all his materials are came from china. If you gonna buy ink i recommend inksupply.com

Ink Cartridges ~ Inkjet Refill Kits ~ Fine Art Paper ~ Pigment Inkjet Ink ~ Laser Toner ~ Bulk Feed Systems ~ CFS ~ CIS ~ Accessories : Inksupply.com

try inkrepublic.com

A friend of mine has an Ink Republic CIS in my CX6600 and it has been flawless since
day one. He highly recommend their products. Their damper is about as close
to the design that Epson used in the 9000/9500 as you can get without
infringing on a patent.

My friend's Ink Republic CIS has been going for 4 years and has
seen more reams of paper pass through the CX6600 than he can even try
to remember. he is starting to wear the printer out as there are a few
squeeks when it is working now, so he would say it was well worth the
high cost because it has been absolutely problem free since the first day.

I have an InkRepublic CIS too. It's working flawlessly.

Hi. I have used a bulk feeder for one of my Epson printers for over a year now. It hasn't leaked, malfunctioned, or interfered with the operation of my printer.

That was bought off Ebay, for a fraction of what the stores wanted. You do have to shop around though.

While this is typically repeated here on this forum this is not true.... there are dye based inks out there that work great for transfers.

I have a CIS from Aplha Supply and it's been flawless since I have had it. About 300+ prints so far. The colors are bright and the color retention is awesome imo.

People sometimes read something and believe it's the truth.... this is one misconception imo. You do not have to have pigment based inks for a great product.

I too use dye based inks with great results. No fading and vibrant colours that withstand machine washes.

I have been using them with Alpha Gold for Darks and JPSS for lights. I have even been printing some glossy photographs and they all are turning out great.

One of my printers (a Canon) does not have a bulk feed system, so it uses dye ink as supplied in compatible cartridges. I get great results on both darks and lights.

Pigment ink when bought in bottles isn't significantly dearer than dye ink. It's just this assumption that you MUST have pigment ink that is misleading.

I don't know how good Coastal is. They seem a bit high. I was looking at their cost on the Epson Stylus Photo 1400 InkJet Printer and they have it at $375.00. The MSRP on this printer is $299.00. I've seen new on eBay for $283 and $269 + shipping on Pricewatch so I'm all of a sudden weary of being ripped off.

I saw a CISS for the 1400 for $54 on eBay - is that a good price?

The prices on the 1400 have just come down lately, I got screwed by best blanks on this same deal. They said they would match the price and they shipped it at full price 399.00, I called the rep and he has promised to make it up to me with samples or something else. He is a big flake and has stopped returning my calls and also my e-mails. I will be taking further action as I have some bad paper from them as well.

I would stay away from best blanks imo.
