Is there a single stage transfer paper For dark colored shirts?
I got this stuff from QLT supplies. It was a dark fabric ink-jet paper but what I didn't understand was, it was a two stage thing where you pressed the white backer to the shirt then used a regular piece of transfer paper to put your image on the white background so the image showed up correctly. I didn't understand this as the instructions were confusing and the opaque backer did not come with the image transfer sheets. Not knowing any better, I was able to improvise. I used my ink-jet printer to print out a non-mirrored image directly onto the white opaque paper. Then I carefully peeled the backing off it and then pressed it to the black shirt image side up. This isn't the way the material is suppose to be used but the shirts came out great. I made a bunch of these shirts like this for a local rock band. I kept a couple for myself. I use dye based ink. They've been washed a few times and they still look great.
I was just wondering if there was a transfer paper out there that will work without going through all this basackard stuff?
