Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Here is 2 of my newest videos. Placing a Jet Pro SofStretch on a mouse pad and White tee

Re: badalou.. Video on placing a JPSS on Mouse Pad
Two more great videos Lou. We all get really helpful advice from you taking the time to make these. You're an absolute star.
The tee shirt video was particular helpful to myself, as it's the clearest yet in showing how to use your tee square it device. I used my own for the very first time today.
One quick question (to anybody) is wouldn't the transfer come of the mousepad if someone is using a non optical mouse? Just curious on that point, as I use sublimation for mouse mats.

Thanks again Lou.
I don't see why it would . it is on there as well as any pictorial mouse pad.

Re: badalou.. Video on placing a JPSS on Mouse Pad
Great videos Lou! It's nice for folks to be able to see this stuff get done!
On mousepads, I don't trim my transfers anymore. I found the lines on the mousepad from trimming become very apparent with use.
Now I leave the transfer as a full sheet, center with picture facing up and use a scissor to trim into each edge. Then I can flip it over and center to the trim marks.
The mousepads still get dirty with use (whose don't), but there are no visible trim lines.
Re: badalou.. Video on placing a JPSS on Mouse Pad
That was the point I was trying to ask (albeit badly) in my posting. If the transfer was significantly smaller than the mousepad, surely the ball of a non optical mouse would have a tendency to push on the edges of the transfer. Although the transfer wouldn't necessarily lift, the edges might end up with a blackened appearance?
A transfer that was the full size of the mousepad, would presumably suffer less from this problem? I currently use sublimation for my mousepads, but had never thought about using transfers.
Thanks to Lou for bringing up an alternative use for transfers.
