Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Hi there, this is my first post, and first of all i would like to thank you all for the good advise and expecially mr Badalou...
Ok, i have been awake all night being buzy sorting some pics out to make some tees, printing, and while i was pressing one of them with a guy sticking his midle finger up, i forgot to put a sheet between an aron all dark heat transfer and when i lift it up i noticed my stupid mistake, and now i have got my heat press sticking the midle finger down to me hehe how ironic is that???
Anyway i am not angry about it becouse i just have to learn from it, i saw the threat where Mr Badalou explains that he cleans his with that this wire metal cloth wich it makes verry good sence, i dont think that my press has got a teflon coté on it so i am just going to give it a try when the shop opens, and then i will post the result
Hi. We all make mistakes. My common one, is forgetting to reverse the image when moving from dark fabric tranfers, back to sublimation printing (DOH)! How many times have I done THAT!!
Even though my presses are teflon coated, I still use a separate teflon sheet as well. They are inexpensive and far easier to clean than the press, should something go wrong.
Hi, i forgot to post it the other day, ok it worked pretty well, i heated the heat press i removed the vinyl bit of first i let it cool down, then with the steelwool i scrubed it all out, it did took me nearly 2 hours scrubing, so i think it will make me more focus next time hehe...
Actually i forget that sometimes too, but hey, its all part of the job
I know Heat press Essentials sells a product called easy off that is used to clean the heat press and can be done in minutes. I just thought ,I would let you know. ...... JB
