Hello.
I am trying to find out if anyone knows
which company is the best for laser transfers.
I do not have a laser printer ,so I have to
contract it out.
I have used Boo-z in the past, and the transfers were pretty good, but I'm sure since then some companies may have a better quality.
Or If there is a better way do good quality, good washability, full color transfer with injet and a good ink other than sublimation, then please direct me in that direction.
Thank you in advance for any info information in this matter.
I have never purchased laser transfers so can't offer an experienced opinion. Transfer Express sells laser transfers. They are a forum sponsor.
In order to save some money you mat be able to buy the paper you want and take it to the local Kinko's or office supply store. Check out DuraCotton and Image CLip papers.
Coastal also sells Jet Pro Sofstretch which is an inkjet paper used a lot by many forum members. Search JPSS or Jet Pro for opinions. I use JPSS and like it. I use an Epson CX5000 with Epson Durabrite inks. Others use third party inks, Epson Claria inks and some use Canon OEM ink. Seems to work well with several inksets.
I would go with DuraCotton. Although many have good experience with Imageclip, I tried imageclip and found the 2 step too 'complicated'. I found the paper to be very picky when it comes to the heat/amount of pressure to apply.
DuraCotton is simple 1 step with great results all the time, especially when used with OKI 3400 printer.

Can you press light pastel shirts with Duracotton HT without having white polymer window showing up after the shirt is washed? Or has that issue been resolved?

Hello, I just wanted to say thanks for all the responses!!!!
I ordered both image clip and dura cotton. I like dura cotton, but I still had to cut around the image. Seem to look good, let see once I was it.
Hand is pretty soft, but not what i thought. Maybe Im doing something wrong. Or maybe I expect to much! ;-)
I trim Duracotton HT because I can still see very faint trace of polymer. It also has a tendency to leave white polymer window in some light pastel colored garments after washing the shirt. It has not happened to me but I have seen photo of what it looked like. Just don't want to take risk and hear customer complain about it. I am used to not seeing polymer with Imageclip. The only time I use Duracotton HT is when the design has very light pastel or gradient colors which is problematic with Imageclip.
