For the custom transfers i mentioned all you need is medium/firm downard force (pressure) to apply. So have a good brunch before you start your project.

For stock transfer sold off the shelf like from ProWorld and others, most are made for Heat Press apply ONLY.
But do get a heat press, all pros own one and they are not to expensive.
