Arrow New to the business

Well, due to the economy, I was not able to afford an American made Heat press.
I just got off ebay and won the auction. (wife not aware )

I should have my Foreign made machine by saturday and will tell you all about it.

Congrats, Tijera! I hope you have the same good luck alot of the others on the forum have had. Did you read the Ebay press thread? If you have one of the models that folks say do well, reading their posts should make you feel alot better. Alot of folks say their presses pay for themselves in no time, being as they are cheaper, and they earn enough to pay for bigger, or name brand presses, using their Ebay one.

Well, hope your experience is one of the good ones. Best regards, Kelly

PS: Tell your wife before you end up in hot water, lol. The press may be good, but sleeping in the dog house will leave you too tired to use it!

I agree with Kelly, I hope you have better luck than I did. I still think you made a step toward your dream and that is great. Take slow steps and you can achieve your goals. Remember if it's worth doing, you have to work to make it happen. ... Good luck. .... JB

I have a swing away heat press that was made in China. Its actually well built, has an accurate digital controller and gives me good results everytime.

I also have a brand name vinyl cutter from a reputable Western manufacturer. It has a very small label on the back that says 'made in China'.

The wife saw it, kept quiet and walked away.
So far the press is performing ok, with a 5 shirt press.
What I noticed is that once it reaches 310 degrees during the warm up period, it shuts down and comes back up in seconds.
Physically it is pretty sturdy, well built and for 270.00 dollars so far not a bad investment.
I will print my first batch this week coming up. (20 shirts)
The only thing is I already turn down an order to heat press on the sweat pants (long side)
First advise ... get a 16" x 20" heat press

Good luck, T! Hey here is a post about heat pressing, step by step. Before you start, you might want to read it to check if you've got all the basics down before you press the first shirt. Again, good luck, let us know how you make out!
