Simple cure for clearing clogged printheads. Hi. I used to own an Epson 3000, which due to bad design, was notorious for blocked printheads. After much research I found a very simple cure that applies to most printers. Move the printheads away from their home position and using a straw, apply a couple of drops of Isopropyl Alcohol to each of the small sponge pads that the print heads rest on. Return the print heads to the home position and leave for five minutes. Print off a page with a few colours on it to get the inks flowing and you're done. Used this method for many years on both Epson and Canon printers. It's cheap, it's effective and contrary to what the manufacturers might say, it DOESN'T damage your printer. |
