Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I purchased a geo Knight 14 heat press and coastal trasfer injet sheets for whites and colours. I'm following the instructions step by step - 350 degrees for 10secs (for coloured shirts) and the trasfer still won't stick to shirt.... IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY..... Can anyone recommend good transfer sheets?

Hi, Ellen and Welcome!
Nothing is easy that's for sure, but it's probably something simple.
Post your question in the Heat Press section - that's were more folks who can answer your question hang out --- Good Luck!
for the colour shirts, no. The machine was set at correct temp but maybe it needed to be hotter. It was a pink shirt so i'm just confused..... don't want to ruin another shirt!
Might try it just a little hotter (375) and a little longer (13 seconds). Instead of ruining another shirt, try putting another transfer on the ruined shirt until you get it right.

Hi,
If you're afraid of ruining shirts, why don't you use a piece of cloth. Thats what i do, i buy color fabrics at walmart i pay like $5 bucks for 5 yards (100%cotton or 50/50% poly/cotton) and i have a lot of material to test on. I always do that when i want to practice pressing transfers.
I use fabric, the back of shirts, and other old cloth I have around. I used to make a lot of mistakes, but no I just correct them and go on. I will be using alot more bulk cloth now. ..... JB
Heat transfer for lights and color is it a opaque transfer paper. If it is you need to peel the printed paper from
the backing. If you are using a transfer for light garments you need to play with pressure of the press and time. Most transfer write a certain temperature and time set. You will always have to test what works with your press.
