"HT"= heat transfer
I have read on here (over the past few months) that HT ink is a little different than regular pigment ink.
It is specially formulated to withstand high temps and remain "stable" , for lack of a better word....
Here is what inksupply.com says about HT inks....(this is copied from their site...)
The MIS Heat Transfer inkjet inks have been designed specifically for Iron On and Clamshell Press Heat Transfer applications. Other black and yellow inks exhibit problems in heat transfer applications, most commonly the black can run and the yellow can turn green due to heat (sublimation). Both of these problems have been resolved with the new MIS Heat Transfer Inks. They have high fade resistance, durability and water-resistance. These are the benefits of the MIS Heat Transfer ink.- The yellow will not turn green, due to heat, during transfer process.
- High resistance to sublimation which can cause color changes.
- HT inks are water fast and do not run or bleed when washed.
- The Dmax on the black is very high, over 1.70.
- Decreased dry time.
- Capable of printing on T-Jet, O-Jet and Glo-Jet Heat Transfer papers.
- Superior flow through on continuous-feed systems.
- Greater resistance to water and better durability than previous Heat Transfer inks.

I am assuming that this is true with ALL HT inks.....but do not know since there is not a "list with results" out there....at least not to my knowledge.
But I do wish there was a master "list with results"....
It would make things so much easier when choosing HT INKS!!!!
I now use HT ink form INKJETCARTS.US and it performs wonderfully!!! But I only can compare it to my original "Durabrite" ink...which was horrible on opaque transfers!!!
I will however be testing these MIS HT inks to see how they compare to my inkjetcarts.us HT inks....as soon as my 2nd Epson C120 gets here.
I want to print off of the SAME printer using the same paper and same T's to be able to compare properly!
I will be comparing "wash ability".
If my Inkjetcarts HT ink washes as well as the MIS HT inks I will DEFINITELY stick with inkjetcarts.us!!!
Inkjetcarts.us HT inks are soooooo much better priced and the customer service is unmatched by any other business that I have dealt with!!!
Ross is wonderful and will stay on the phone till the problem is resolved!
There are a couple of other inks out there that I would like to "test" but they are sooooo expensive just to do testing...
EVERLAST INK(from Coastalbusiness)=32.50 per 4oz bottle
TRANSMAGIK! INK (alpha supply)= 29.95 per 4oz bottle
Personally , I like the 12.00 per 4oz price at inkjetcarts.us and GREAT TECH SUPPORT !!! And so far so good!
(by the way MIS inks are 20.00 per 4oz bottle)
