Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I want to add a bulk ink system to my epson stylus 1400. I would like to know any reputable dealers of pigment ciss systems? And what is the best for Shirts. I'm so anxious to further my business with my great designs any info is highly appreciated!

Since you mentioned pigment inks, it sounds like you are looking for a heat transfer & ink solution to do 100% cotton and 50/50 garments. Many of the sponsors here to the left of this post are excellent to deal with.
However, make sure the inkset you get is geared specifically for heat transfers on textiles/shirts.

the question is are you going to do dye sub or use pigment ink and print and transfer. i have found that the inkjet fly sells empty systems and you can put any ink you want in it if you do dye sub you will need to buy an empty system then get dyesub ink hawever i suspect you are new to this so if you are doing dye sub i suggest you get a compleat system. if you just want pigment ink in a cis then ijf is a good option. not the only one out there but again it is working for me and i find the heat transfer is working well also.
Hi Don. Is the 1400 the printer you carry with you on the road with the CISS hooked up? Do you take any special precautions to safely secure everything to prevent spillage or leakage? I Bought the 1400 cause it was the cheepest good printer for the larger format . I've had it a month and its still in the box. Shoot, my heat press is still in the livingroom floor. I did at lease take it out of the box and try it out with some sample stock transfers that came with it. I'm trying to get all my ducks lined up before I start pulling the trigger, so to speak.
Yes it’s the one I take on the road. Every time I move I take out the IJF CIS and put in the carts that came with the printer I put the cis in a box and everything gets wedged down. So far no spills no problems. I used to just wedg everything down when I moved and several times It got messy.
As to getting your ducks in a row I suggest just getting started even if it’s a few at cost jobs. Because in the biz you can never be completely ready for all that will come your way.
Don
I use refillable cartridges and bulk heat transfer ink from www.inkjetcarts.us.com I like them because their inks are very reasonably priced and give great results. The staff is well trained and are very generous of their time and information provided. They will help you understand color profiling and help you set it up on your computer for printing great transfers. I was amazed at the transfer results I got using their information and products. They also sell CIS systems, I believe.

My experience has been similar. Maybe just lucky so far, but Ross has taken care of me 100%

I just bought the bulk ink from them. I bought the refillable cartridges on eBay for 15.95 plus shipping. I guess I was lucky. Thanks for all the informative posts.
