Re: printing at 150 degrees - prints don't come out right - what could be wrong?
Hi Al, welcome to the T-Shirt Forums!
In order for us to help, we'd need to know what paper you're using, if you're talking about farenheit or celcius, and what you mean by "do not come out good". What exactly is happening?
The more details you provide, the better we can help you
Re: printing at 150 degrees - prints don't come out right - what could be wrong?
If its 150 F your temps are way low. JPSS inkjet tranfers print at 375 for 30 seconds. Plastisol transfers print at 400 for 10 seconds. Like Rodney mentioned...what are you printing?
Re: printing at 150 degrees - prints don't come out right - what could be wrong?
It might also help to know what you are printing them on? 100% cotton, 50/50, t-shirts, fleece..etc etc
If by chance you are doing plastisols, I would do them @ 375 for 8 sec with about 25-30 lbs of pressure
Re: printing at 150 degrees - prints don't come out right - what could be wrong?
Hi Al,
Once you let us know what you are pressing, we'll def be able to help you more. To start with, tho, without knowing anything else, even if your 150 degrees is in Celsius, your temp is too low. Increasing the pressure will help, too. Both are critical to a good press.
Don't forget to pre-press your shirt to remove moisture prior to pressing the image. We'll wait to hear what paper or whatever you are pressing, but if you are "printing" onto transfer paper, what printer are you using to print the image with?
Did you mention that when you use "100% cotton" you press at 150 for a reason? Are you using another fabric blend as well, as use the 150 on the 100 cottons? Just wondering. Thanks.
