Default transfers for colored totes

What are the best transfers to use on colored totes? Right now I am printing on canvas totes so I am using transfers for light fabric. I would love to print on denim totes and am wondering what brand of transfer would be best for this.

Thanks!
Marissa

Since You are using the transfer for tote and not wearables I feel good about mentioning few opaque transfer papers. There are few favorites in the forum:

1) Ironall/Evelast for dark with inkjet but works laser printer also. Sold by Newlmifordphoto.com and Coastal business supplies. I have personally tried Ironall for dark and my experience is it will not hold up several washer and dryer cycles.

2) Alpha gold for inkjet printer sold by Alpha Supplies. I have not tried it.

3) Blue grid for inkjet sold by Coastal Business Supplies. I have not tried it.

4) Conde Systems also sells Forever products that works for inkjet and laser printer. I would not recommend using them on wearables because they tend to crack and peel after few wash and dryer cycles.

You can get samples from the vendors to try before you decide what works bets for you.

Thanks for the suggestions! Does the Ironall for darks fade like the one for lights?

My experience with Ironall for dark with inkjet is the initial print looks washed out and it is not as vibrant as printed with laser printer. The color itself is not fading but the material is wearing off (Print is rubbing off)after it has been through several washer and dryer cycles. Since you are using it on totes I don't think it will be exposed to that kind of abuse. So it should be okay if the less vibrant color is acceptable to you.

People get confused with this word fade. Iron All and all transfers do not fade. They get washed out from washing. Tote bags do not get washed so they do not get washed out. Now that said... If you have any product with a picture and leave it in sun light for a period of time it can fade from sunlight. But that is about anything painted or printed. Lou

Thanks for the feedback! Lou, do you print on colored totes? If so, what transfers do you use?

Lou,
I know you have mentioned using the Topper 806 totes as they have no sizing in them. Where do you get the colored bags with no sizing??? I find that the 806 only comes in the natural color with black handles. Thanks!
