Default C-88 Printer beats up the transfer

Whenever I try printing transfers on my C-88 Epson printer the last inch or so seems to get caught by the printing head and not only bends and tears the edges but will distort the bottom part of the design. Its a relatively new printer. I have tried curling back the edges and tried different brands of paper. Every now and then, one will go through fine, but more times than not, I have these problems. Any suggestions? Thank you !

It sounds like your transfer paper may have a curl to it. No matter how slight, when my transfer paper is curled I use my thumb and fore finger to hang the page by each corner, and bend it that way, it works for me. Before I print each transfer. If it's real bad I buy new transfer paper. Maybe some one has different idea. I hope this works. I use a c88 also, I also have this happen. Mike
