Question Heat Transfer puckered and peeled in wash

I am new to the transfer part of graphics. I used "color print" from Specialty Materials and in the wash the transfer puckered a little. It basically looked wrinkled. After I dried it in the dryer on low heat, it still looked the same. In fact it didnt fall off, but I was able to peel it off rather easily.
Thats not normal, right?
Any suggestions? I have 40 more of these to do and dont want them to come out the same way.
BTW, the printed graphic looked fine, just the material I had the problem with.
THANKS

Could be 3 things.

1.Transfer paper your using. I never heard of (Color Print) before. What's recommended is (JPSS) for lights and iron-all for dark's.

2.Pre-pressing your t-shirt before pressing your transfer to remove moisture.

3.Or increasing your temperature a little more also your press time.

Also what kind of Heat Press do you own?

The reason im asking is because i never press accordingly to the manufacturer's instructions. The results never come out right i alway's increase 5 - 10 more degrees. And the reason for that is because i own a cheapy sunie press.Gets the work done just have to play with the setting's. Hope this help's..Goodluck

ok.. a couple questions..
did you print this with a versacamm??
did you press again after transfering?
did you get all the moisture out of your shirt with a pre-press?
have you check the temp. on your heat press??

Thanks for the rapid replys guys. Ambitious, I actually used some regular vinyl transfer tape for this test. I used "color print" material from "Specialty Materials" Specialty Materials - Largest Distributor of Thermal Films in North America I did pre-press and I set the temp to manufacturers specs. I have a "ginsu"heat press. I call it ginsu cuz it was cheap and didnt have a name of its own when I adopted it ) Idid not check to see if the temp was accurate with a seperate temp. guage though.
Mystysue, my friend actually printed them for me on his versacamm. I did repress after transferring, and I did a pre press to get out the moisture for about 5 seconds. But did not make sure the temp. is what was displayed on the digital read out.
So maybe the transfer tape did it? Or I may need more heat, or I had some moisture???
How important is pressure? And does anyone know if one of those oven temp. guages would work to calibrate the setting?
Thanks again, for your help. Much appreciated!

ok, well I may have found the problem. The sheet of instructions that came with the material said to press for 12-15 seconds. I did that. On their website, it says 25-30 seconds, and I turned up the heat a little, maybe 10 degrees. It looks better and a scrap piece I tried on an old shirt was very hard to peel off, and I could only get tiny pieces. I will wash it again to see what happens, but I think it was a timing thing.
Thanks guys
