Smile Heat Transfer Longevity

I was wondering if anyone cared to share how long their heat transfers lasted before they begin to fade. Also what types of papers, printers, and/or inks you used? Also if anyone could post some wash tests as well.

I really do think that this would benefit a lot of people and would help us make more informed decisions about heat transfers and its products.

Thanks in advance for your responses!!!

Default Re: Heat Transfer Longevity

I use JPSS (jetprosofstretch) durabrite ink in an epson c88+. I've been posting wash test photos. Since JPSS isn't that old, there won't be many shirts past the age of around last November'ish... but our shirts are holding up perfectly.

In an effort to age a JPSS shirt in a test, I am repeatedly washing it in bleach. Heres the link:
Wow! Jetprosofstretch JPSS & Bleach Results -pictures - Canon Dye ink and Durabrite Pigment ink.

I figure the bleach has to be adding "time" for the age process, as the shirts would normally not be doused in bleach in real life wash instructions. This is the best I can offer to show you how JPSS paper can hold up under wash conditions. It is a tough test for any paper to hold up under, and JPSS does so beautifully.

Best regards,
Kelly
