with heat transfer paper? im trying to find transfer paper that ones applied to the shirt it would stay soft like the shirt and not turn like a plastisol. thanks in advance

You are talking about dye sublimation process. It does not require polymer carrier of any sort to transfer an image to the shirt. It is very expensive process. Not to mention the shirt has to be high polyester content. Preferably 100% polyester which again costs a lot more than the cotton and cotton blend.
BTW polyester comes with very limited selection of pastel color.
So if your customer base is willing to pay good quality high cost end product then dye sublimation is the way to go.
