Default Transfer Paper misfeeding in printer

Has anyone has any trouble with heat transfer paper not feeding through the printer correctly? I have a customer who has a Dell All-In-One Photo 966 and she says the paper jams every couple of sheets. I believe it is that the printer really is more for office use. I have suggested maybe a little sandpaper on the back to rough it up, but that is not helping. Any suggestions would be very helpful, I have not come across this before.

Due to the thickness of transfer paper I only feed one sheet at a time. Yes it is slow but effective. Also with the curling of transfer paper I give the two leading corners a gentle down curl. Hope this helps.
BTW... I'm using an Epson C88
