Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I know most people say that if you use an iron the design will peel off before you know it, just after the first few washes.
1.I just wanna confirm that with a heat press you will have store quality shirts that which the design will not peel off.
2.What is so good about the Epson 1280 that everyone recommends it.
3.Can someone recommend some good transfer material and the sheets to print designs on. (If it matters i will probably be getting a hix or mighty press 15x15)
4.Right now i have three printers. A brother HL-1440, and Samsung CLX-3160, and an Hp Deskjet 932C. Can i use any of these printers just to start out making shirts untill i have enough money to invest in like a 1280? Also when i start out i probabbly wont be doing that much color stuff especially if theres going to be a quality issue with the printers i start out using.
The ink that you need is pigment ink and Epson printers use Pigment ink. The heat Press choices you have stated are both good brands. I use a Hix myself and have had great lick with it. I have called the company for advice or simple questions and they are awesome to deal with. I have always been treated kind and my calls are returned the same day. ...... JB
with the brother HL-1440and Samsung CLX-3160=you may want to try Imageclip it is laser transfer.
And the HP does use Vivera Inks that is pigment.you can use all of them and you can go to/www.coastalbusiness.com and they do have samples. Hope these helps

I am not sure about quality with these printers but if they are laser printers then you need to ensure you get laser transfer paper. As inkjet paper would melt in a laser printer. I have also read that not a laser printers can work with heat transfer paper.
You can call or chat online with these businesses who will be happy to help you
Also note that the Epson 1280 printer is no longer in production. It has been replaced with the Epson 1400. It cost 299 at espon.com. It has 6 cartridges which each cost 18.99. This is a wide format printer.
if you are only printing 8X11 then you can use the Epson c88 which i belive has now also been replaced by another model. It is about a 100 bucks
