Default Oh No....

Hi there,
Just got a big shock. Have at last mastered (so I thought) the art of printing down to a T - pun intended via heat-press using store-bought, high-quality transfer paper, but just discovered that when I print onto ribbed fabrics, then stretch the fabric, the transfer cracks and splits. The fabric soon springs back showing no cracks or splits, but I'm worrying about the singlet/T that is a tight fit on someone. Is this a normal problem?
Please, is there a way to overcome this problem, or should I just not use ribbed fabric?
Many thanks,
Sophie

Hi Sophie
I'm no expert but I have had the odd run-in with ribbed stuff.
I just avoid them now as they are just too risky.
The forces on the transfer with a ribbed top are very different to those of a normal T.
All the best
Pete

I agree with Pete ... just avoid ribbed materials when using heat transfers.
