Tested, jet dark to use for white lettering with a ink jet it worked
Guys,
I tested, jet dark, inkjet paper on a black tee, looking for a way to get white print.( without white ink)
I outlined the letters with contour rings, in dark and then reversed the color on the lettering so it was white, which is the basis of this jet dark paper, so I decided to use it as my white ink!
It worked.
I am so stoked I can hardly stand it,. this has been a huge issue for me as I print alot of novelty sayings.
If anybody else has done this and has other ideas for me please let me know,,
I also just visited one of the areas of our forum, for the picture downloads, and loved seeing everyones pics, that are on the forum.

Yes I will get some pics out tonight,
I use xara softwear so I did contour lines in tones from gray to black, around the sample in the text area i did black background and white letters and contoured those also, for dimension.
I will do more samples tonight,
I did not cut around the letters, but you sure could. i used a oblong shape, to put all this together. With the text in the middle.
I will get pics up tonight.
If I was doing a saying only, and not a pocket graphic, I would cut around, the letters or make background the color of the Tee.
If I cut I would do it to leave less transfer feel to the finished product.
This can be done with any transfer paper that is meant for darks, as they are all white based so the ink we lay down from our printers, shows on black.

I need to try this - cause I have someone wanting white letters on a red shirt. I want to put a graphic of a mountain and then the words on top of the graphic and use red for the background. Beckie

Becky, try it and let me know, but it should work fine, just fill the letters in with white on softwear program, and it should show up white, as that is the base of transfers for dark tees.
Do a wash test also, to make sure the red does not run into the base color, it should not, but just in case.
Not sure if this will work for everyone, but it will for some.
