Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
could anyone please answer my question that i have been trying to find the answer in detail anywhere.
I am looking to purchase a colour laser printer to make transfers for 100% cotton t shirts, i have been on the magic touch website and they have a oki C5600 for sale which says that it is TMT ready. Have they acctualy done anything to the printer or are they just selling it on whithout doing anything to it for extra money or could i just use any colour laser printer that is on the market.
Also do i need to purchase special toners to be able to print tranfers for t shirts or do i use standard toners.
Generally, there is no "tweaking" done to an Okidata color laser printer in which to print heat transfers.
For the printer to show "TMT-ready," this simply means that The Magic Touch has tested that particular model to work well with their laser heat transfer paper(s). You can buy this printer anywhere you decide. Are you in the US or UK?
To answer your other question, there is no "special" toner to buy. Standard toner is used to print graphics on laser printer heat transfer papers.
Hi there i have a OKI 5600 and love it the only thing i should have done was go for the bigger print 1 instead of the A4 but having said that i love it I got mine from Printerland.co.uk if thats any help to you I found them very helpfull
Thanks for the infomation, i have been on the printerlands site and the C5600 has been discontinued the one that has replaced it is the C5650, the price on printerland seems resonable but i am going to look round before i buy it.

BTW have u looked at the OKI C810N its £978.65 from OKI direct with £300 cash back as well as a 3yr warenty. Its a lot smaller then the older 1's and I thought well worth it for the extra cost.
