Default Pallet for press?

Can someone tell me what this is? Is it like using the mousepad? I had written a company about their beach totes and using a press - here's what they wrote back :

Yes as long as they have a pallet for their press that fits into the pocket. It cannot be pressed with the pocket closed or it can melt together depending on how hot they need their press to apply the transfer.

By melt together do they mean the zipper? Could I just line it up with the closure outside of the pressing area? Geez I have a lot of questions!!

I think they meant to say platen. If you can thread the tote over the platen you can do it. Other ways of keeping the inside of the bag from melting together would be the mousepad option or teflon pillow or perfect print pad.

It is for raising the item away from seam or zippers. yes it is like a mouse pad.
