I am currently using a Epson 1400 with Inkjetfly CIS system and MIS HT Pigment Inks. this system was very easy to set up and no color shifting at all. Also I make my own color profiles which allows me to get more accurate colors. I also found one stock color profile that really makes the HT inks more vibrant. the color profile is US Web Coated (SWOP) v2 in photoshop. This color profile prints more vibrant colors and the black is very deep. I did notice that the HT inks are not as vibrant, but this profile really enhances the colors. Hope this helps
I am thinking about getting the EP 1400 and I am happy that I found your post!
I do have some MIS HT ink for my c88&c120 and I do find that the black is not as deep as I would like it.
I use PS to do all of my graphic art "tweaking" of photos before printing and pressing.
Where do I find this color correction "US Web Coated (SWOP) v2 in photoshop" that you speak of??
Also...... since the 1400 is meant to print using DYE inks DO YOU find a problem with clogging using the pigment inks??
thanks!

In photosshop the WEB Coated profile will be under color management when you go to print. let photoshop manage colors and turn off color management.
Also I have no problems with clogging using pigment inks. I make sure I at least printt a page or two each week.
thanks...!
Also .... I usually print from my "windows" picture viewer...... But If I do start printing from PS , should I print using JPEG image or "PS" image format?
(hope i explained this right?)

Another thing... After i select US WEB COATED (SWOP) v2, I also see a box underneath labeled "print space" with 2 drop down boxes... "PROFILE" & "INTENT"
What do you have "checked" in these drop down boxes??
