Default Epson R1900 CIS/Refillable carts ?

I understand the new Epson printers have new chip protection by Epson to prevent the use of 3rd party ink. Is anyone here using a CIS or refillable cartridges with success on a R1900 ? i have seen one or two CIS system recently released for it but do they work reliably ? there is one seller on ebay with refillable carts for the 1900, anyone tried them ?

I would contact Coastal Business supply and ask them.I would also buy a system from a reptuable dealer and not on Ebay. If you buy on Ebay you get no customer support. ..... JB

Okay, this is interesting. I just recommended to someone they get the re-fill carts for their epson r1900, since they don't print alot to justify bulk. If this turns out to be true about the new chip, is there a way to remove the chip and replace it?

I found a bulk system on SuperJet's site: Continuous Refill Ink System CISS For Epson Stylus Photo R1900 Printer - No Ink Prefilled [CISS-Epson-R1900-ST] - $65.99 : Superjet USA! - Continuous Ink System : Superjet USA!, Online Printer Ink Super Store Continuous Ink System : Superjet USA!, On

Been looking, haven't seen re-fill carts yet.

Inkrepublic has a CIS with a working chipset. Works great and you'll save a ton of money.

Warning!

Stay away from SuperJet's USA continuous refill ink system.

We received one of their systems which proceeded to destroy a brand new Epson 1900 printer and they will not even authorize us to return the system for a refund.

For the CIS, always choose InkRepublic, they have the best CIS and best working chipset.
For the refillable carts, try UFOSystem.net , I've seen many people use their refillable system with great success.
