Default Ink Transfer question. Correct me if i am wrong

Hey everyone, (hope this is the right forum section)
I recently picked up an Epson 1280 and after reading many posts about my question, i just wanted to see if someone could shine some light and let me know if i understand this correctly. First of all, i would like to print different color designs on black and other dark shirts, so hence i will need opaque transfer papers correct?
And since i will be printing on darker colors, i will not be able to use Dye Sublimation inks but instead, pigment inks is better for my application right? If this is correct, can someone post and tell me what is the correct ink / paper combination to use. I would like to invest in a CIS system and just need alittle guidance. Thanks alot!!!

Durabrite inks and Iron All Opaque for transfers on dark tees. Dye sublimation is a different game entirely and there is no point going that direction if you want to print on black.

Great, Thanks for the info Motoskin. I was almost certain not to go to dye sublimation. Question for you is, when purchasing a CIS system , i should be looking for a pigment based ink and not dye based correct?
thanks

OK i think i just understood the first part of your answer. After googling Durabrite inks, i found that they are pigment based so hence i should be getting pigment based. Thanks

You are on the right path but please note. Iron All for darks is what most folks use but many dont like the way it feels and stay away from darks altogether.
