Question Questions to ask when buying a used heat press

Hello I am new to the t-shirt world and I am working on getting my new business off the ground. I have found someone willing to sell me their heat press but I don't know why types of questions I should ask? Also what should I be looking for to ensure the quality? PLEASE HELP...I'M EAGER TO GET STARTED

I would ask the brand name,age,model,and condition.These are all general questions. I would ask for the serial number andcontact the company for information of age. ..... JB

I would plug it in and make sure it heats evenly.

I think thats the sign its aged, the platten is heated in an uneven pattern

Hey guys...its a GEO Knight Press Swing away 12x14 for $200. Please let me know what you think about the price. Though this is smaller than what I wanted to start with I think the price is a good price if everything checks out. I would love to hear back from some experienced t-shirt pressers

I suggest you buy no smaller than a 15x15 press. This will allow you to do most transfers with no issues. The Geo Knight is a good brand, I just think you need a bigger press. ..... JB

I would check serial number and contact the company to see if they still have parts. Yes the price is good for that size but like Coeds says you may find out later that you need bigger one.

Hi , has anyone ever heard of this company( heat press wholesale.com Commercial Heavy Duty Heat Press Machines - Heat Press Machines - HeatPressWholesale.com - Wholesale Heat Press Machines - (Copyright 2008 HeatPressWholesale)
..I saw a15x15 commercial heavy duty for $199 ship$99 are and a 16x20 monster heavy duty. does any one think they are ligit with good reputation anyone give advise. thanks
