Default Average size of typical vinil transfer ?

Of course, larger is better for a cutter or a press.

When printing names on t-shirts, would you say that 80 % of your vinyl transfer are less than 15" ? Less than 11" ? Less than 9" ?

The reason I am asking is that I figured out that buying cutter and heat press for 9" max transfers would cost me 800 dollars in total, while buying cutter and heat press for 15" max transfer would cost me twice as much...

Or could I mix with a 9" max cutter and a 14" max heat transfer machine for better comfort ? I would not like to go over 1000 dollars to access a market I do not know well. If i make money than I can always invest into a Roland cutter and a 16x20 heat transfer machine. Am I wrong ?

In most cases, the size willfor names will be 2x 14 or smaller. I make most names 2 inches high. ....... JB

Great. That means that a 9" by 36" cutter would be enough for most "average" work ?

I think most people buy a 24 inch cutter , so it will handle most jobs. A smaller cutter will work too. ..... JB
