Cutter : US cutter PCUT CTN603
Program : Sign Blazer 6.0
Vinyl : Thermoflex plus
Press : HIX HT-400
I live in Mexico, and I will have to go to the US for cheaper prices, but guarantee will be a grey area (back through the customs, etc...), so I need a very robust equipment. I don't mind if this is not the latest technology. I have been a geek for too long, now I am old and wise and favor robustness to advanced technology. Like, I still use Windows 2000 .

I'm not sure of the price of the pcut, but Plan B (Roger) Heat Applied transfer vinyl for t-shirt applications sells GCC cutters with the flexi master addition. The Gcc is the same cutter as the Endurcut and I have one of them.I know it does a great job abd the flexi software is second to none. I have great things about the UScutter brand also. I like the Roland and it is robust as charles said, But it also cost several hundred dollars more. I just wanted to let you know of another option. Good luck. ...... JB
Re: Would you guys pls confirm the sanity of my vinyl config wish-list ?
My range for a solid cutter - but again, not so technologically advanced - would be 300-400 bucks. Am I a dreamer ?
Also, is vinyl so easy to apply that I could just iron it at the beginning and invest in a HT-600 later when I see I make money ? Or am I am a dreamer again ?

Re: Would you guys pls confirm the sanity of my vinyl config wish-list ?
I don't think the vinyl will work well with an Iron. The Pcut is...what's $1595 minus $349, oh yea it's $1246 less. Yea, the Pcut is $1246 less than the Roland GX 24 at least. That does not factor in sales tax and that price is the lowest new price I've seen. Everyone dreams of a Roland, but the cost is generally more than most of us spend for a quality heat press. The best equipment does often cost more, but it's price can be prohibitive to many. I have ordered the LaserPoint 24 to learn and use heat press vinyl. The Roland isn't even in dreaming range yet.

You can get a cutter for under $500 that will fit your needs. I suggest you buy a used name brand press if you want to save money.Do yourself a favor and stay away from the cheap Ebay models. I wish you much success. .... JB

The LaserPoint 24 is sold by US Cutter. I just got it yesterday, got it set up, have not used it. But I have never used a cutter so I don't think I can tell you much personally until I get up and running. I never seem to be able to afford the very best, but I do look for solid functioning equpment that will allow me to produce quality products.
