Custom plastisol transfers, stock heat transfers, and vinyl come to mind. Get some sublimination dye/a printer, make some mugs, tiles, plates, coasters, ornaments.
But even if you use the press just for shirts, you've saved yourself tons of labor and oodles of time over hand ironing, plus, are assured you are making a quality garment. Hand iron = a full 3 solid minutes, maybe 3.5 minutes, of constant forceful downward pressure - compared to lowering an arm for one second and standing there counting to 30 with a press. No comparison.
