Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Just received my new Mighty Press (manual pressure adjustment) today. How do i know what is firm / medium / lite pressure. All the way up is Firm? All the way down is Lite?
Transfers from Horizon, instructions say 40-50lbs FIRM. How do i guage this with just a turn knob?
thanks Lou, i played with it for a a few hours and put my logo on about 5 t-shirts i had laying around and a sweathsirt. I had plastisol transfers (ganag sheets) of my logo printed by Horizon a month ago and my screenprinted has been pressing them for me. I decided to buy my own press so i can do #'s and transfers myself and i think i am already addicted.
I have seen many of your videos on YouTube and would say you were one of the contributing factors of me buying my own press, i even bought a Tee Square It.
The Temperature guage (0-10) on top seems to be a little weird and will take some time gettign used to. I was tryign to determine what = what and it didnt seem to be very consistent. I turned it on and let it warm up for about 15-20 mins and found aout that 8 = right about 350degrees. I thnk it was running about 50degrees per integer on the dial using 8 / 350degrees as a reference point.
Has anyone determined and posted a scale for the temperature guage on the mighty press? I know it may fluctuate from press to press slightly but it would at least be a good starting point.
