Default sport numbers placement

I'm placing 8" numbers on the back of standard adult t-shirts with no names on the back. How far down should I go from the neckline? 5" maybe?

about 5" from the collar sounds about right, I wouldn't go much lower you risk them being to low at that point.

Very scary moment. Even though I'm watching Cloverfield while I get this order out. I've never pressed red shirts before. When I pressed the first numbers on the back, the shirt turned very dark where the heat hit it. Five minutes later it looks like it getting back to the normal color.

That's normal the sizeing from the thread gets burned off in the press and changes the color. ..... JB

Well, I finished the numbers. I'm going to finish the movie and do the front print tomorrow when they get delivered.
