Default Looking for heat transfer as a one color logo on fabric? washable and ironable?

Hi there
Can someone help me please?
I am manufacturing garments made of 100% light cotton fabric (thread count 22 X 18 per square cm)
Before sending those garments to market I need to fix the logo on the fabric.
Logos are very small in size (in the range of 1cmX 4cm up to 2cm X 5cm) and one color only
The only problem I have is that logos should be heavy duty washable and withstand ironing.
I went through the site some members were recommending plastisol then others said that it will not withstand ironing.
Anyone can help and tell me what kind of heat transfers really fits me?

Heat transfer paper for water based inks should do the trick. They are both washable and ironable. However, different papers are different qualities. Everyone here has their favorite.

I dont think it would work with that fabric and color. Printer can not do white and there would be problems with the transfers with that type of fadric I would think. But I can be wrong.

I would think that type fabric could cause some problems as well, not to mention the color. Much like david I am not sure of course but I would think.

Would embroidering the logo on the item work for you?

Hi there
Well
Embroidery is not going to work for me , I have approached some embroidery machines suppliers they told me that my fabric is too light and embroidery will not do the work
Some members recommended heat transfers flocking as my logos are one color only. They also said that flocking is very tough and heavy duty and can withstand washing and can be ironed.
So anyone can help me to find a supplier for flocking? There are many supplying flocking sheets but I am looking for a supplier who can take the art work and make the flocking then I will just need to fix them on my fabric using my heat press machine.

Regards

Sorry ziad can't help you out with that one. Did a few searches for you and could find suppliers but not anyone who does both the supplying and manufacturing as well.

since the weave of the fabric is so open and will be required to withstand ironing....fabric stamping perhaps??

google is your friend there are a million places out there - i'd explore the permanent inks or fabric paints - custom stamp makers - sorry, i'm running on empty this morning with a roomful of tees calling my name to be pressed on a tight deadline! it's an interesting process and there is a mountain of information available - i'll check in more later!

good luck!

Ziad, how did the one in the photo get on there?

How loose of a weave and stretchy is that fabric? (ps: there's no way tranfers paper will work because of the loose weave, where there's a gap, your image will be lost...).

If this material is stretchy, I am wondering how any material applied to the 'top' of the garment will adhere if the material is stretched... the letters are so tiny, and won't have much to grab onto.

How does stamping work? Is it a 'dye' that will color the fabric itself? How will red fabric dye white? If it's not a dye - but more like a paint, will it crack if the fabric is stretched?

I would think to be sure, if stretching is an issue.. that incorporating your logo in at the point of manufacturing may be the best idea... if not, than some kind of "discharge" method may work nicely (where the ink is "removed" from the fabric after the garment is complete).

Good luck to ya! Kelly
