quantity of shirts? vinyl vs. plastisol vs. screenprinted
I was hoping to get everyones opinion. At what quantity of shirts do you switch from heat pressing vinyl to using plastisol transfers? What quantity do you go from plastisol transfers to having them screen printed? Would it matter how many times you have to heat press it like if you have 2 colors on front, or chest logo and 2 colors on back? Lets assume that it will cost me the same as you and I will make the same profit as you. Hope this makes sense. Also where do you get your 1 or 2 color plastisol transfers?

I will do 12 vinyl designs on shirts and then, I switch to plastisol transfers. I will do upto 100 transfers and then switch to screen print. I hope this helps ..... JB
Re: quantity of shirts? vinyl vs. plastisol vs. screenprinted
Depending on how many colors in the design, I usually go vinyl up to about 15, then plastisol.
I go to direct screen printing at about 150 shirs. But...I have a heat press jockey who works real cheap...my husband.
Usually, it just depends on cost of plastisol vs. cost of contracting out screen printing. There is a point where it makes no sense (no matter how cheap your labor is) to use plastisol if you have a good contract printer.
