Default this might be a stupid question, but.....

ok....so here goes, I am so new to this. Do you have to use a "heat press" to make a decent shirt, or can I use my iron. I have made iron on transfers for my kids before and they were not bad. I have read on this site about all different brands of heat press papers, will they work with an iron? I want to test the waters before I invest $$ in equipment.

thanks for not laughing

Sara

Hi Sara

No question is a stupid question. I began with a hand iron, and earned enough to buy my press outright. No returns and no complaints. My market is youth, which is a plus for me as longevity is not an issue, as children outgrow their clothes as you well know, and, they are tough on their clothes, unlike a woman's shirt that may need to last 5+years. That said, I'll let you know no one ever had an issue with my product.

I've written a few posts in the past on how-to hand and what to use, so if you don't mind, I'm going to provide you with a link rather than re-writing. Best regards to you. No doubt you will hear a press is best, and it is, but mostly because of the time and intense labor involved in hand ironing. I have a press now, so I have the luxury of comparing our hand iron shirts to press shirt, and I cannot tell the diff between them.

Here's the link, and best regards to you.
