Default Applying crystals / power to transfers

Hello,

I've been experimenting with printing my own cold peel transfers with the powder/crystal backing. I've having problems with the powder/crystal residue printing on the shirt. Beside a good shake, would anyone have any tips on keeping the tranfers residue free?

Thank you very much

Have you tried static cling feather duster after the transfer have been cured? Just a thought.

BTW I an thinking about making sheets of opaque that is using waterbase instead of plastisol. Mind if I ask you what brands you are using, curing time and equipment etc...

I would appreciate a PM please. I want to learn about the process.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot for the thought on the static cling feather duster. That sounds like it might work. I'll give it a try and let you know as soon as I have more info. I'm not really an authority on this process - pretty new myself. Also from what I've heard I didn't know you would use water based ink for transfers. If that is working for you please let me know. I've been using Union plastisol and still experimenting with the curing times because I only have a flash dryer and a heat press. Base on the videos I've seen some people use their partially closed heat press for curing but I'm still going between both. I'm thinking of buying one of those temp guns so I can firgure out the exact temp of the ink and the related time.
Thanks again

I have yet to try it. I thought maybe if I can get some input from members who are starting from scratch would a better experience and have a good history of what works and not when then working process and product is successfully done. Maybe we both can learn together. Hope you are keeping some notes.

You said you want to or making cold peel transfer. Is plastisol a way to go about it?

Good luck.
