Default Substituting sign vinyl film for t-shirt vinyl film?

Just wondering if any of you sign makers have ever tried (just for the heck of it) applying sign vinyl film on a t-shirt?

I would bet it won't work as the sign vinyl is heavier and probably will not press into the material. It would last until you washed it maybe

It won't work,, the material will not take the consentrated heat you need to press,, also the adhesive will not work, as Charles said.

Okay... thanks to all who responded. I've never seen the sign vinyl and wasn't aware of it's qualities. The point of the question was due to the fact that there seems to be a lot more color options available for the sign vinyl and of course it is less expensive.

If it actually worked and of course it doesnt, companies wouldnt have bothered creating actual heatpress materials. Funny thing about heatpress vinyl is it feels completely different than sign vinyl...more like thin rubber or latex.
