Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Glad I saw this thread since mine was similar. Went thru the same drill you did and also concluded (with some good advise from others) to buy a teflon sheet. In my case, it should prevent my white shirts from yellowing caused by the heat casting on the upper platen.
thank you Fritz. Do I need one to do vinly heat press on t-shirts? Just getting into this. I am a embroiderer.
Also what is you opinion on 50/50 verses 100% cotton for the best results?
Thank you,
Karen
At this early stage of my t-shirt career I'm a little reluctant to dispense advise, Karen. In my case, I think the teflon sheet will resolve my "yellowing" problem from the aluminum platen, so I'll be ordering it soon. Whether the shirt is 50/50 or 100% should not be a factor, according to what I've been told. Thanks.
Thank you Fritz. I understand what you are saying. Do you know of a website that has video's or perhaps another forum that you look to for advice? I Googled this one and am so glad to be a member of this one. I just wondered if you knew of another one in addition to this one.
Thanks again for answering,
Karen
