I'm considering getting a quote for some digiprints, as opposed to having a design done with plastisol, due to the amount of colors and detail involved here.

Does anyone have any experience with these transfers and how durable they are over a period of time?

The last thing I want to do is to use these and have the designs crack, peel or fade after just a few weeks, as this is a possible BIG job for me.

They won't really fad but, they can crack. Try getting a sample from a few different suppliers and do some wash tests and determine which you like the best. There are several ways and different equipment to do digital transfers.
