Default Re: Epson Stylus Photo Printer 960

i have a 960 that i bought just for a desktop printer - invoices, purchase orders - yada, yada....it also prints cd's and does beautiful work!

as far as the ink.....the jury's still out...it has claria inks which are dye based, but touted as waterproof. i took that as a dare and just for giggles printed a transfer (a conde for lights) and washed it a bunch of times. i frankly expected it to fade horribly. much to my surprise, it didn't! there's a pic of it here in another thread Dye Ink. Its not so bad.. as well as a lot of discussion about the combination of ink and papers. i have NOT output anything on that printer that was sold - i'm not that confident about it! for printed transfers that have been sold i've stuck with the ultrachromes which are pigmented inks, but not available for the 960

edit: brain fade - sorry, my printer is an R260 not a 960 - but in looking at epson's product description on the site, they don't say it's claria ink, but still say waterproof.
