Default Heat transfer supplies

Going to purchase a few things...I've always just done screenprinting with a 4 color station, dryer, etc.

Looking to get a heat transfer and just make my own transfers.
Got a question about a printer and paper.

-What kind of printer should i be looking at to print out the transfers? Is it just normal printers like you would get at Staples, etc or are they a special kind?

-Also..I'm hoping to do sizes around 11 x 11..is this going to be difficult???

On a side note, you can also make your own plastisol transfers if you have the equipment already.

Unfortunately I got rid of all of my equipment.

I think the thing i am most confuse by is..if i go buy the Epson 1280...do i need to get a seperate thing altogether for inks? Or does it just come with the ink i need. I see where people say it comes with dye ink and i need pigment..Is that correct?
And can i print on blacks??
