Default Need some help starting up

I am in the process of getting started with my own shirt business and I just found this forum and I am full of questions, more now then before I found this. I was thinking that all I really needed would a heat press, printer, and paper. Now after reading some of the postings it seems as though I am going to be needed a few more things. My question is will a HP C4240 work if not what about an Epson Stylus CX6000?

welcome to forums Misschinaeyes now i can't say anything about HP but i have used an epson Stylus 7000 and it was fine however i stopped using it as the cost of using the Durabrite inks was a little steep so i switched to Laser OKI 5600 but a lot of people love the Epson but they use it with the bulk system just remember what ever u use it needs to be Pigment ink if using an inkjet i don't think all HP printers use that,if u read forums they r testing out ink dye as in the past it washed out,but like a lot of things , things get improved
with my laser printer i use Duracotton as it's self weeding so very easy to use they are doing test on the inkjet paper and have had very good results with the Jepprosoft i thikn its called
Any way good luck keep reading the threads i have onlu just started also and still learning
Also i found out the hard way not to buy a cheap press so buy the best u can you getter a better look with a good press

I ordered a heat press from ebay, and as I continue to read it seems that it may have been a bad idea. I am hopeful though, I am keeping myself positive by saying that this is just starter heat press. I want to get things going right away and cant afford the "Best" at this time.

Of course not . I know I should have done better research on this before I got it. I just was looking at the prices of them and came across this one so I sat around and watched up, bid at the last minute, and won it. I am not sure how to post a link on here so that you can see it.

Hi Misschinaeyes welcome to the forums . If you read this post here New "Cheap" Heat Press Arriving Today , you will find some good info on the heat presses from ebay. There are some that are having success with certain cheap presses. Let us know how the one you purchased works as I am sure others will be interested to know

Is there an article that explains the basics of sublimation? I know absolutely nothing about the subject. I have an Epson 7800 that uses durabright inks, can it be used to print something for sublimation?
