Default Help :( New pigment Inks dont vivid colors (inkjetfly)

Hello everyone, I just got my CIS Pigment Ink System for the Epson 1400 from Inkjetfly.

I have installed everything and started printing. My main problem is my pictures are not coming out vivid, they look very dull and it prints different colors from what are actually shown on my screen (I have my monitor calibrated so I know my screen is fine). I know I set everything right and each ink in the right cartridge but my prints are no where near the original colors. My blacks look greenish and not true deep blacks. The prints are not getting the true colors

I compared a print I made with my Claria Inks to the same image but this time printed with the inkjetfly pigment Inks and The prints differ greatly. The pigment Inks look so faint and dull. Does anyone know what might be the problem? Or are inkjetfly pigment inks low quality?

I wish I could explain a little better, so sorry if im not being cohesive.

my guess is you need to make sure your ICC profile is correct for the printer/software/ink. I would call your source to see if they have a recommendation for the ICC profile. Iuse a 1400 but with artainium sublimation inks..not pigment or claria

Yeah ive read an article that I need to create a ICC for the inks, because they are printing all wrong with the current ICC I have for the epson 1400. I got my inks from inkjetfly so I will have to give them a call or send out an email and ask them what I should do.

I should ask if anyone here knows how to create a custom ICC or if anyone is using an ICC for the epson 1400 with inkjetfly inks thats working for them. or if anyone can pass me any knowledge they may have with setting these inks to print correctly. I want to match the OEM inks on how they print out, im not sure if this is possible but I would like to find out. So if anyone knows about the subject please let me know. If not ill have to contact inkjetfly either way.

thanks!

What kind of paper are you printing on? Have you tried different types to see if you get the same effect? Might be the paper. My transfers come out like that. Not real bad, but it sounds the same as you have explained. But regular and photo look like they are suppose to look.
