how to convert image to EPS for Rolland camm1 x 24
hey x
could some one help
i have no training in this business, and have taught myself to use the Rolland camm 1x24, and use Corel draw 12 as my software.
i need to know is there any way i can use JPG/BMP image, and convert it to EPS format, so Corel can give that hairline outline for my cutting machine.
Or better still, if you know of much easier software to use that would make it faster and easier to cut.
I’ve wasted so much time on custom designs, having to trace every detail my self on Corel.
I’m sure there’s a way to do this, and I’m sure I’ve wasted many hours by not knowing how.
Thanks xx

In X3 you can go to Bitmaps> Trace Bitmap and the program wil perform this task, although more often than not for me it requires cleaning up nodes. If ver 12 does not allow this. You could try Inscape, which is a free download that performs this task and allows a save in EPS among other vector formats.

unfortunately there is not a way to take a bitmap image into corel draw and then to the cutter UNLESS you first vectorize it. Once vecortized, use wireframe view to make sure all is okay and that there are no open lines...then you should be able to cut...(Some images do not do well with corel tracing and you just have to bite the bullet and have it vectorized(IF you have the right driver for either corel or the software that came with you cutter.
you cannot cut around a bitmap image unless you are using an optic eye or other registration system
