I was wondering if this was a good deal, I am looking to add another press to my shop. There is a 12x14 geo knight dc16 that is about 5 or six years old and supposedly it has been used very little for $550. Do you think that is too old for a press? I am trying to decide if I should take a look at it. If you could give me some ideas on what you think the price should be I would appreciate it. Thank you for your time!
$550 is to much for that old I wo0uld wait and see the price will come down you can get newer ones from ebay if you look and wait my first press come from Ebay and it was 1 years old and I paid $220 with shipping so if you look around you can get deals

does it come with any other attachments, teflon or felt pads?
Id go look at it, and have them turn it on for you, and do some samples. But Id try to get them down a bit more. George Knight is a good brand, we have one. They have a good guarantee too. But it never hurts to haggle.
George Knight dont give guarantee on used one only if you are first buyer you should only give them 45% of what it cost new for that age so if it cost $875 you should give them $390

Thanks for the responses!! I will probably go look at it to see what it really looks like. I will try to get them lower on the price if it seems to work well, I do not want to jump into something and then it not work after a few presses. Thanks again!
I agree with robin, it all depends on what comes with it. Also take a laser gun or a couple of temp tapes and make sure it is heating to the correct temp.
I do not believe anything else is included with the press. My understanding is that all for sale is the press itself. I was thinking about offering around $400. Do you think the press would be worth it for that amount of money?
find out if they still make parts for it first there is anther post on the forum where they dont make parts for it anymore but that is not the same press as this his was 5 years old just check if you cant get parts I would leave it
