Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.

2. No!
3. No!
The problem that happens a lot on the forum is people wantnothing more then to save money. The end results are the same in the end. You don't save it you spend it on junk. then you find out late and spen more money. buy from a company that sells name products. products that have a track record.

That press you linked to, I have NO knowledge of. So, my answer on that particular piece is to proceed with caution and at your own risk.
This press, however: SunIE.com I personally own, and purchased off of ebay.
To date, it has worked flawlessly and I can honestly say I recommend it for anyone starting out and not looking to drop $600 or more for a similar sized press.
It heats up quick, it presses perfectly and I've had ZERO problems.
I know I'm in the minority here, as everyone else just about advocates that you buy American, and American ONLY!!!!!!
However, there are a handful of us here that own this press and everyone has nothing but good things to say about it.
Again, proceed with caution, and get something in writing about a warranty BEFORE buying.

Good Luck!!!!!
hmmmm.... I figured this would be the case. But I have no idea as to whether or not this would be worth it.
You are not such in a minority, Mrdavid and alot of others are doing the same thing. I do link to your thread on this whenever I see folks looking for Ebay presses as your thread has captured the most useful information to date on the subject IMO. It's gotten quite long but is still a good read for those considering an Ebay press as the good models that folks are having luck with and poor models that folks have gotten burned on are discussed.
Here's the link Liquidslap. I am trying to not answer your questions so much. Just kidding. How can I not? I never pass up your post if I have something for you! I don't know why, but your name cracks me up. How did you come up with it?
There seems to be this one model that folks are actually having some good luck with, Bill's model, is that right, Bill? You are more in tune with this being involved.
For the record, I used to keep up on this thread, but I bought Stahls Mighty Press Lite and would again as I need the lifetime warranty for my peace of mind.

Hey thanks for the link. It looks like I am going to be reading for awhile. 13 pages! geez... It's all worth it though. I am doing as much research as I can before I spend a penny.
As far as my username, I can't remember how I came up with that. I have been using Liquidslap for a user name for the past 10 years. I bet it was something funny though
ultimately it is your decision of course. i have read many posters on here saying they have all kinds of trouble with equipment coming from ebay auctions. that is not to say that all ebay auctions are bad. but it's a buy at your own risk kind of deal. i have been told more than once you get out of something what you put into it. sometimes if you look for the sweet deal to save money, then you are opening yourself up to get a really good deal or to throw away some money unfortunately. i hope it all works out for you in the long run.

Maybe we should think about not starting a new thread on Ebay heat presses guys.
That's what Bill's thread is already doing, and everything just stated has already been stated in this thread.
Liquidslap said he's going to follow the link, so he will definitely be able to see a very in depth discussion on the pros and cons of the Ebay presses. Just an idea, as the Ebay debate seems to snowball, and thankfully to Bill, we have a great place to keep that giant snowball rolling already.
In fact, I just went and thanked Bill for a place to contain all that helpful information on testing these Ebay models and giving us one place to find ongoing updates of how the machines are performing for folks.
If there are machines that do work trouble free, they are a great savings, and become a viable option for folks who want to or have to save money. That's what Bills thread is all about.
