Hello,
I am getting a new printer that deals with pigment inks. Starting out in this business and my question is should I opt for a large printer like the R1400 with pigmented inks or, is something like the c88 good enough? I would like to know from you guys out there your printer models and why you chose that size? Thanks.

The 1400 out of the box uses dye-based inks, but if you're buying a bulk ink system with pigment inks as I was considering, then you should be fine.

I like that this printer prints up to 13x19, so printing 11x17 transfers is a snap and you're not limited to 8.5x11 like you are with the C88+.

You could also get an R1800, which uses pigment inks out of the box. But that printer is a big more expensive.

I'd go for the larger printers if you can afford it.
