OK, I'm a little confused about your question -- are you going to use heat transfers with pigment ink for your Epson 1400? Are you going to use TransJet II or Jet Pro SofStretch? They are two different papers. From what I understand Trans Jet can crack after washing, whereas Jet Pro SofStretch has a very soft hand, stretches and does not crack after washing. In addition, it is supposed to retain its color better than IronAll, which has a soft hand, but fades considerably after washing.
As far as inks are concerned, please see my thread, "Durabrite vs. Inksupply.com HT Ink -- Durabrite, You're Fired!" I was having a problem with the yellow Durabrite ink overpowering every other color in my design, and then turning green after pressing. Even colors like gray (never really thought about what colors the printer used to make gray before this) turned green after pressing. You can try adjusting the amount of yellow used in printing by altering the color profile in the advanced printer settings (yellow -15 or more, magenta +5, cyan +5), but then it's hard to get the right shades of certain colors like gray -- with these settings, it printed out light purple -- I didn't even TRY to press that! I have since changed to inksupply.com heat transfer inks, and after my initial tests last night, I am VERY happy with them! The black is really black, and the gray shadow in my design STAYED gray after pressing! There wasn't a HINT of yellow anywhere! I will be posting photos and wash results as soon as possible...
